Job Description

The main function of a web tester is to develop, implement, and document all testing activities, including test planning, test documentation, test execution, defect tracking and reporting, including follow-up and issue resolution.

Job Responsibilities:
• Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures
• Test system modifications to prepare for implementation
• Develop testing programs that addresses areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability
• Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers
• Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content
• Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
• Create or maintain databases of known test defects
• Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates

Qualifications:
• Associate's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
• 8-10 years experience required
• Experience testing software
• Experience writing test documentation such as Test Plans, scripts and test results reports
• Ability to analyze/interpret test results and provide recommendations to improve testing

Job Requirements

• Years of Experience Required: 8-10 overall years of experience in the field.
• Degrees or certifications required: Associate's/ Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
• Disqualifiers: Not able to work 100% onsite
• Best vs. Average:
? Curiosity and proactive testing, especially with complex UX flows.
? Organized and great communication skills.
? Ability to identify, analyze, and document problems.

? Troubleshoot

• Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on ability to work fast paced environment and quality of work.

1. Minimum 8+ years experience with Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures.
2. Minimum 8+ years experience with Excel.
3. Minimum 8+ years experience with Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers

Typical Day in the Role

• Purpose of the Team: The purpose of the team is to work on the Settings app for Windows, specifically focusing on modifying the search experience within the app. This includes integrating inline controls and enhancing the search engine with an AI model to help users find and change settings directly within the search interface.

• Key projects:
? Modifying the search experience in the Windows Settings app to include inline controls.
